Yahoo, one of the firsts
to offer Text, Voice and Video Chatting over internet, is going to
close some of its services from coming December 14th They have taken
this decision after determining the ill-effects of its services.
Yahoo is going to
close its Services such as Public
Chats Rooms, Pingbox and Voice Calls to Land-line and Mobile Phones.
The company has also decided to close its services on Microsoft
Windows Live. They are playing it safe to prevent the evil practices
of anti social elements. But the Voice Calling Facility between two
Yahoo Accounts will not be taken back by the company.
The
Website has declared this on their Messenger Blog and also in the
'Help' option of the Yahoo Messenger Application. A Spokesperson
from the company's side stated that the company is focused on
developing more creative features and application rather than to
encourage anti social activities on our website or apps.
