Google Glass: Initiation of Wearable Computing

With the advancement of tech-world, gadgets of past decade will never be remembered again before the hottest wearable computing technology now available, though it seems to be still in its startup days . Google has announced its much awaited Google Glass, on the other hand and there are souring rumors about Apple Inc.’s iSpecs and iWatch to be launched in the market. These gadgets, apart from those ones that you need to carry along, can be worn just like glasses or wristwatches.

There is another rumor about a Smartwatch in the market, which was patented by Google, quite a while back. If we talk about the existence of wearable computing devices, they have already developed numerous utilities that are only used for governmental and corporate interests; these such gadgets were not introduced for the normal consumer to buy and use, otherwise the market scenarios for smart phones and gadgets would have been quite different now. Google took the initiative and made announcements for its Google Glass.

Google Glass, which would be in market in 2015, would be just like a pair of glass with functions of a smartphone having display in handsfree mode. This wearable smart computing device would keep you close to it with its features like natural language interactions on internet over voice commands, standard quality camera that lets you capture whatever you might want to, Google Maps & GPS, Evernotes, News, HD Videos, Accelerometer, and much more. It is also being expected that it will have Android 4.0.4 OS, 5 MP camera, Bluetooth, in-built sufficient storage of 16GB, RAM of more than 600MB, and many other undisclosed features.

With this announcement, Apple Inc. the largest competitor of Google, too, have smoked up some rumors of its upcoming gadgets with similar kind of technologies, but Google must be aware of techies based in third world countries like China, where everything of latest unseen technology is available, at large.
